Since 2021, the Forum has brought together leaders from industry, public authorities, civil society, and academia, creating a platform to exchange ideas and influence Europe’s industrial direction.
Through expert advice and collaborative work, it has helped turn policy goals into practical initiatives supporting the Single Market, the green and digital transitions, economic security, cross-border investment, and advanced manufacturing.
As the current mandate ends in December 2025, the Commission's Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs has launched a call for applications for the renewed forum. The next mandate will continue advising on EU industrial policy, competitiveness, and the implementation of the Competitiveness Compass.
