Description

The recreational craft sector refers to boats with a hull length of 2,5 m to 24 m that are intended for leisure or sport use.

Recreational craft sold in the EU must comply with harmonised technical safety and environmental requirements, and meet the administrative obligations defined by the Recreational Craft Directive 2013/53/EU.

The review clause set out in Article 52 of Directive 2013/53/EU requires the Commission to submit a report to the European Parliament and the Council by 18 January 2022. The general objective of the study is to collect information to draft the required report.
