Whereas most countries’ customs only examine imported goods, China differs in that its customs examine goods being imported and exported. Customs has the power to confiscate and impose fines on infringers, as well as arrange for criminal proceedings. However, these provisions are only available once a company has registered their IP with Customs. This China IPR SME Helpdesk Webinar will present practical steps to using Customs to protect your IP in China, with a legal expert guiding participants through the processes of registration and correspondence, for protection and enforcement of IPR. The main presentation will be followed by a live Q&A session.
