Cooperation with governments

To make it easier for EU companies to expand internationally, we hold regulatory and industrial policy dialogues with many of the EU's strategic partners on standards, conformity assessment and innovation, and several industry sectors.

EU – China cooperation

We address issues encountered by EU industry when operating in, or exporting to China, through dialogues with the State Administration for Market Regulation and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

EU – India cooperation

We cooperate with European standardisation organisations to support and operate the Seconded European Standardization Expert for India (SESEI) project. The objective is to raise awareness of the European standardisation system.

EU – US cooperation

We have been working on transatlantic economic cooperation by reducing regulatory obstacles to doing business across the Atlantic, focusing on diverging regulations or duplicative requirements that can create unnecessary barriers and costs.

EU – Japan cooperation

We work with the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) on an industrial and regulatory dialogue that seeks to further develop regulatory convergence and overcome hurdles.
