InnoEnergy was launched with funding from the European Union through the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) to support the commercialisation of sustainable energy innovations across Europe. It operates as a key facilitator of the energy transition by investing in technologies and businesses that accelerate decarbonisation, strengthen industrial competitiveness, and secure Europe’s energy independence. Its activities span the entire innovation lifecycle (from early-stage support to industrial deployment) through a combination of equity investments, market and business development services, access to public and private funding, and tailored go-to-market strategies. InnoEnergy also offers education and upskilling/reskilling programmes to address the talent needs of the green economy. It is a founding member of strategic EU initiatives such as the European Battery Alliance and the Green Hydrogen Acceleration Center, positioning itself as a central actor in building net-zero industrial ecosystems.
