EEPA 2022 Testimonial – Responsible and Inclusive Entrepreneurship

Let’s meet La French Tech Tremplin by French Tech from France, the winner of EEPA 2022 Category: Responsible and Inclusive Entrepreneurship.

This category recognises national, regional and local initiatives by authorities or public/private partnerships that promote corporate social responsibility among small and medium sized enterprises.  This category also values the efforts to promote entrepreneurship among disadvantaged groups such as unemployed, especially long term unemployed, legal migrants, disabled or people from ethnic minorities.

La French Tech Tremplin by French Tech is a programme that promotes social diversity by supporting aspiring entrepreneurs from difficult backgrounds with funding, training and mentorship. The project offers these entrepreneurs, otherwise far from entrepreneurship, a gateway to create their own start-ups anywhere in France. This brings social diversity to the French start-up scene.

How did you first hear about the national competition and why did you decide to enter?

The ministry where I work promoted the award and explained that it was possible to apply. I chose to apply so that the initiative and the message of the French Tech Tremplin project would become better known.

How did you prepare your application?

The application procedures were very clear and well-defined, and my department helped me prepare the elements to be provided (letter, press review, impact assessment, etc.).

What do you think made your application standout?

I am convinced that it is the nature of the project that made my application stand out from the others: Tremplin is a hope-filled mission that allows us to take a step forward in the fight for inclusion and diversity in today's entrepreneurship.

What was it like to win the award?

It is a huge honor to have won the award. It is the recognition of a long work with our partner bpifrance, which mobilised many actors in the French State.

How has winning the award impacted your work so far?

Obtaining the prize allows the Tremplin program to benefit from international visibility. Several European players came to us following the 2022 ceremony.

What are your plans for the future?

We want to continue to develop the programme. Both in its quality and in the diversity of the people it accompanies.

Why should others enter EEPA 2023? What advice would you give them?

Entering the EEPA is a real privilege. The application file makes it possible to measure the progress of the project and the meeting with the other programmes is very enriching!
