EEPA 2023 National Winners - Investing in Entrepreneurial Skills

EEPA 2023 national winners Category 2

We have already brought you news about the national winners in Category 1 of this year’s European Enterprise Promotion Awards (EEPA). Today it is the turn of EEPA Category 2 – Investing in Entrepreneurial Skills. From 301 projects that entered the national competitions in 30 countries, 55 projects will now advance to the European stage of the competition, including five projects in Category 2.

EEPA Category 2: Investing in Entrepreneurial Skills recognises initiatives that improve entrepreneurial and managerial skills. This year, the national winners come from five different countries – Bulgaria, Denmark, Ireland, Lithuania and Malta – and they will now compete for a place on the final shortlist – to be selected by this year’s esteemed EEPA 2023 European jury.

So, let’s take a look at the shortlisted projects in Category 2. These are presented in alphabetical order by country below:

  • Bulgaria: 9Academy supports personal and professional development, with participants going through nine modules including entrepreneurship, marketing, legal affairs, and so on.
  • Denmark: mmoaterhvervshusmidtjylland [dot] dk (Resilience and Rescue Skills for SMEs, strengthening Early Warning Europe) (ResC-EWE) promotes sustainable entrepreneurship by supporting future entrepreneurs to create resilient businesses.
  • Ireland: Craft Hub seeks to develop the entrepreneurial, managerial and professional capacity of professional crafts workers in Europe through a series of activities.
  • Lithuania: Lessons Are Measuring Up Panevėžys gives students and their teachers the opportunity not only to visit the city's enterprises, but also to try to solve the challenges they face.
  • Malta: Junior Entrepreneurial Programme teaches young people of different ages, abilities and backgrounds about entrepreneurship, financial capability and even how to prepare for the world of work.

All the EEPA national winners will receive invitations to the Awards Ceremony at the annual SME Assembly in Bilbao in November, where the winners in each category will be announced. This year the event will be co-hosted by the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the European Union and the European Commission. At the SME Assembly, the jury will also announce the winner of the Jury’s Grand Prize, which can be from any category - the Grand Prize goes to the entry that the jury consider to be the most creative and inspiring entrepreneurship initiative in Europe.
