The European Enterprise Promotion Awards (EEPA) 2023 has unveiled its shortlisted projects across the competition’s six categories, showcasing outstanding initiatives that foster entrepreneurship, innovation, and sustainable growth in Europe. In this post, we take a look at the projects that made it onto the shortlist in EEPA Category 1 - Promoting the Entrepreneurial Spirit. These are presented in alphabetical order below.

EEPA Category 1: Promoting the Entrepreneurial Spirit recognises initiatives that promote an entrepreneurial mind-set, especially among young people and women. Let’s take a look at this year’s worthy shortlist.

Category 1 – Promoting the Entrepreneurial Spirit

Future Makers (Romania) is an entrepreneurial education programme connecting and supporting young people from Romania and Central and Eastern Europe. Over the course of six editions, Future Makers has supported 290 participating teams, awarding a total of €125,000 in prizes to 29 winners.

Impulso Emprende (Spain) promotes entrepreneurship among primary school children and vocational training students. Students work on an entrepreneurial project throughout the year, through cooperatives or participatory projects. Budding entrepreneurs are nurtured with the programmes Emprende en Mi Escuela and Pre emprendimiento en FP.

Thrive4Women (Ireland) supports women to launch and pursue STEM careers and businesses across three key pillars – capability, connections and confidence. The programme uses industry experts and experienced professionals to improve entrepreneurial and demystify STEM topics across the new product development process, from ideation to execution.

We wish all of the worthy Category 1 shortlisted projects the best of luck in the next stage of the competition!
