European Tourism Forum 2022

Today, the European Commission co-organises the 21st European Tourism Forum, together with the Czech Presidency of the Council, in Prague.

The event addresses the latest trends of EU tourism and revolves around topics linked to the transition of the tourism ecosystem such as the co-implementation of the Transition Pathway for tourism, as well as the potential revision of the Package Travel Directive and the Commission’s proposal for short-term accommodation rentals.

This edition of the European Tourism Forum brings together EU countries’ public authorities in charge of tourism, representatives of the tourism industry and destinations, international tourism organisations and EU institutions as well as heads of national tourism boards. On 16 November, the Czech presidency will organise a Directors-General meeting responsible for tourism and will allow further discussions on the short-term accommodation rentals and the Package Travel Directive.
