The EU Proximity and Social Economy platform was co-created by the European Commission and stakeholders active in the sector, addressing Europe’s shift to a sustainable, resilient, and competitive economy.
This platform is designed to support all makers that help communities build resilience by keeping goods and services close to home, while advancing social and environmental objectives. It is now open for registration and free to use for individuals and organisations across all EU countries and members of the Single Market Programme.
Members may benefit from the platform functionalities to
- get informed about the latest funding opportunities and propel their work forward
- connect with like-minded professionals who recognise the social potential in every transaction and prioritise circular and short value chains
- share pledges, innovative approaches and achievements within a collaborative environment
- explore the thematic workspaces and co-author documents tailored to specific areas of interest within the proximity and social economy sectors
- learn from curated resources and tailored training opportunities: from webinars and workshops to online courses
- become an ambassador to lead discussions forums and shape the future of the twin transition for this ecosystem
Whether you are an entrepreneur, a non-profit organisation, a community leader, researcher, or a policy maker, there’s something for everyone. The platform allows all users to contribute based on their expertise and resources - from home, in Europe - driving a sustainable, competitive, and resilient future.
