Targeted Consultation on the Recreational Craft Directive

It addresses questions on

• the technical and economic feasibility of further exhaust emission reduction from marine propulsion engines
• the feasibility of introducing requirements for evaporative emissions
• the suitability of the current set-up of watercraft design categories

The European Commission will use the consultation alongside other tools to garner information for a report to the European Parliament and the Council, as set out in Article 52 of the Directive.

The consultation deadline is on 14 March 2021.
