A team of experts is working on EU-wide harmonised health-based reference values to assess product emissions, based on the ‘lowest concentration of interest’ (LCI) concept. This team was established by the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission in 2011 and is now embedded in EU-level work on construction products. They use set procedures and protocols to establish EU-LCI values in a rigorous, scientific and transparent manner.
Our membership comprises a wide range of stakeholders and individual experts and an independent Chair (see Members section on the About page), ensuring that our work is well informed and uninfluenced by potential conflicts of interest.
