GROW Fellowship Programme

The Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs’ yearly fellowship programme addresses top economists/academics of recognised reputation. Their expert economic advice will support the Directorate-General in its analysis and policy making.

The type of expertise sought covers a broad range of fields spreading across industrial, trade and innovation policy, as well as policies related to market integration and, more generally, mission-oriented policy design. New and emerging issues with high relevance for the single market and EU industry are covered as well, for example

  • strategic autonomy
  • supply chain distress
  • future-proofing skills
  • impact investments and alternative business models
  • purposeful innovation
  • the industrial ecosystem approach

Based on a call for expression of interest running until mid-2026, this 4-year programme includes yearly cycles of evaluation of proposals and an evolving list of candidates in view of yearly appointments.
