Hannover Messe

EU industry is key to Europe’s prosperity and global competitiveness. Hannover Messe is the world's leading trade fair for industry. Since 2021, we have been participating in this important forum by presenting the Commission’s work to help industry embrace the green and digital transitions, create the conditions to boost their competitiveness and resilience, and support them in becoming the global leaders of tomorrow.

2025

Hannover Messe 2025 took place from 31 March to 4 April.

Our stand was in Hall 13, at Stand E66.

In addition to our stand and the talks and panels, our Support Corners offered tailored advice from the Commission, along with experts from the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) - the world’s largest support network for SMEs.

This included

  • information on EU policies
  • access to finance including EU funding
  • finding business partners across the EU and beyond
  • practical aspects of expanding your business in the EU and beyond
  • becoming a more innovative, sustainable and digital company

The EEN also had their own stand in Hall 2, Stand C02

As part of our matchmaking event Technology and Business Cooperation Days, participants had the opportunity to meet potential partners for commercial agreements and R&D collaboration.

2024

In 2024, the EU showed even more presence than the year before. Commission  President von der Leyen participated with a speech at the opening of the Fair. Innovative objects from industry showed how EU support translates into industrial realities. Visitors from all over the world came to our 506 m² stand to engage in discussions with experts from the European Commission, European Investment Bank, Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) and industry representatives. In our on-site auditorium, we offered more than 30 presentations and panel discussions on topics such as robotics, sustainable energy, skills or access to finance. In addition, we organised a high-level conference under the title ‘Investing in EU Industry’. For more information, see the full programme below. This year, we live-streamed all sessions for the first time, for people who could not physically attend to follow online. All sessions were recorded and are available online.

2023

In 2023, the EU was present with an exhibition stand of 250 m2. The novelty of the year was the on-stand auditorium with more than 20 presentations and panel discussions on key topics such as energy, raw materials, access to finance and industrial cooperation. We also marked the 30th anniversary of the EU Single Market (1993-2023).

2022

2022 was the year of pilot physical presence with an exhibition stand of 150 m2.

2021

In 2021, the fair took place digitally. We took part with an online exhibitor profile and a talk on Industrial Alliances
