European Small and Mid-Cap Awards 2023: twelve companies shortlisted

The 11th annual European Small and Mid-Cap Awards shortlist has just been announced. The Federation of European Securities Exchanges (FESE), EuropeanIssuers and the European Commission's Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs organise this initiative.

The twelve companies on the European Small and Mid-Cap Awards shortlist were selected among the most dynamic small and mid-caps to have gone public in the period of 2021-22 by an independent, expert jury for their outstanding performances across four award categories. The winner of each category will be revealed during a ceremony on 14 November 2023 as part of the European Commission’s SME Assembly in Bilbao, Spain. The awards display excellent SMEs from 27 EU and EFTA countries to promote stock listings in EU public markets, targeting SMEs and growth companies in particular.

The four Awards categories are

  • Rising Star, highlighting outstanding newly listed SMEs with a market capitalisation of up to €200 million
  • International Star, showcasing newly listed small and mid-cap companies with impressive international sales, profits, and market share growth
  • Star of Innovation, celebrating newly listed SMEs that place innovation at the centre of their business development strategy
  • Star of 2023, lauding newly listed small and mid-caps displaying outstanding corporate responsibility and exceptional performance in their sector
