Description
The European Commission’s Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship & SMEs (DG GROW) organised a stakeholder event to support the co-implementation of the Transition Pathway for Tourism. This was a hybrid event, taking place in Brussels and online.
In February 2022, the European Commission launched a call for commitments following the publication of the Transition Pathway for Tourism. Tourism stakeholders are invited to share concrete actions and targets that contribute to the green and digital transition of the tourism ecosystem, and increase the sector’s resilience.
Three sets of commitments and pledges have been published since then, and the call remains open for a continuous expansion of the stakeholder community.
This event aimed to share recent developments at EU level in the tourism sector, showcase good examples of stakeholder commitments and pledges, and facilitate exchanges and engagement of the stakeholder community.
