The European Commission welcomes the provisional political agreement between the European Parliament and the Council on the new toy safety rules, following the Commission's proposal for a Regulation on Toy Safety from 28 July 2023.
Located in 13 EU countries, they will boost domestic strategic raw material capacities, which will in turn strengthen the European raw materials value chain, and diversify sources of supply.
This action plan is designed to maintain and expand European industrial capacities in the steel and metals sectors, strengthen their competitiveness and safeguard the industry's future.
