The European Commission launches new online community to promote entrepreneurship across Europe

Futurium Launch Visual

The new Promoting Enterprise Futurium online community is a key feature of the European SME Week (ESW), an initiative from the European Commission’s Directorate General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs (DG GROW) and the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA). ESW is designed to encourage entrepreneurship and provide comprehensive support at EU, national, regional and local levels to existing and potential entrepreneurs, business organisations and business support providers.

If you are an entrepreneur, an SME, or support/promote entrepreneurship in Europe, you can head to the platform to find information and resources to help you on your journey.

“We encourage SMEs and support organisations at all levels to engage with European SME Week in 2024 and beyond. The launch of this new platform aims to foster an SME community that drives innovation and collaboration, helping shape Europe’s future and tackle today's challenges," said Igor Kalinic and André Meyer from the European Commission spearheading this initiative.

The motto of European SME Week, 'Promoting enterprise. Every week. Everywhere.', encapsulates the spirit of the initiative, which aims to expand upon the success of last year’s 50+ events organised around Europe. The SME Assembly, the flagship event of the ESW, is this year set to take place on 18-20 November 2024 in Budapest, Hungary. This assembly is organised in cooperation with the Hungarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

Join the Promoting Enterprise platform on Futurium, your go-to place for everything related to European SME Week (ESW), the SME Assembly and the European Enterprise Promotion Awards (EEPA).
