Kerstin Jorna, Director-General of the Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship, and SMES (DG GROW), opened the conference with a video message, emphasising that implementing the new CPR will be one of the pillars of the European Affordable Housing Plan.
The conference welcomed a broad audience, including manufacturers, importers, distributors, suppliers, users (architects, engineers, construction companies), standardisation organisations, national authorities (market surveillance, product contact points for construction), notified bodies, and technical assessment bodies. Over 150 participants attended the conference in person, while more than 1 500 joined online.
DG GROW structured the conference into 6 sessions, beginning with an introductory presentation followed by a panel discussion of experts from diverse backgrounds, who brought specific stakeholders’ perspectives.

Description
Participants had the opportunity to use interactive elements like live polls. Most of the questions received were about the transition and new provisions for the environmental performance of products. They also viewed the digitalisation of the DoP through the DPP as an opportunity to provide clear, transparent, comprehensive and lasting product information.
Encouraged by this positive feedback, DG GROW plans to hold more information sessions and discussions on specific topics soon, to support stakeholders in transitioning to the new CPR.
The above informative slides provide supporting material as a follow-up to this conference, and offer a brief overview of the main legal provisions. To avoid any misunderstandings resulting from misinterpreting this visualised information, readers should consult the legal text.
This presentation aims to assist citizens, businesses and national authorities in applying the new CPR. Only the Court of Justice of the European Union can authoritatively interpret EU law.
