Description
On 20 April 2023, over 150 members of the postal community attended a stakeholder workshop organised by the European Commission to present the outline of the prospective study of the European postal sector that the Commission is preparing. The study will assess the possible evolutions of the postal sector in the wake of recent crises and long-term structural trends and the possible effects of changes to the EU regulatory framework.
The Commission presented the objectives, methodological approach and timeline of the prospective study, which will be built around a number of scenarios for the possible developments in the postal sector in the next 10 to 20 years. Many of the participants expressed their views on the objectives and the proposed approach of the study, as well as on a set of specific questions proposed by the Commission.
Comments in writing on the outline presented will be welcome until 5 May at GROW-C3ec [dot] europa [dot] eu (GROW-C3[at]ec[dot]europa[dot]eu) or by post, at European Commission, DG Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs, B - 1049 Brussels (Belgium) – for GROW.C.3, Investment Conditions and Public Services.
