Welcome to the September edition of the SME Week newsletter! With just two months left until this year’s European SME Assembly, preparations are proceeding full steam ahead. Make sure to save the date for 13-15 November and register on the app to register. A key element of this year’s SME Assembly will be the European Enterprise Promotion Awards (EEPA) and, in this month’s newsletter, we begin our introduction to this year’s jury by hearing from four of its members – check out the interviews below. We also present the winners of the EEPA national competitions in Category 1 – Promoting the Entrepreneurial Spirit and Category 2 – Investing in Entrepreneurial Skills. At this year’s SME Assembly, there will be a special session dedicated to the Youth Start-up Competition (YSC). At this session, the three finalists will present their start-up idea and business model, after which the jury will choose the winner. Young entrepreneurs can apply until the 25th of September. Also in this issue, we look at how some of the successful young entrepreneurs on the EU’s Secrets of Success ‘33 under 33’ list are developing projects that boost sustainability. As always, make sure to follow us on social media and get in touch if you have interesting stories to share about your entrepreneurial experience, we look forward to hearing from you.
